SAVE ON CRAFT ITEMS - CREATE A CRAFT BOX

How many times have you wanted to start a project but didn't have the items you needed to do it? You then had to run to the craft store for one or two items when you probably didn't have time in the first place (especially if it is for one of your kids school projects they let you know about the night before!). Don't you just love when that happens?!

Create a craft box or bin that you can throw misc items in so when you need that one thing you will have it!. It would cost quite a bit of money if you went to the craft store and stocked up on a whole bunch of items to put in your box right? That is where the Thrift Store comes in! Every time you are at the thrift store take a look at the section that has random craft items like fabric, ribbon, sewing items, etc. and grab some items that you think you might need at some point. They are usually really cheap. You never know what you are going to need so grab what you can. Find whatever works best for you to keep it in and lable it and you will be surprised how often you resort to it. Good Luck!

Here are a few things I have got at the thrift store to throw in my "Craft Box".

FABRIC!

I always buy cheap bundles of fabric to use for projects of different kinds. My next project is going to be hair bows.

USE YOUR NEW FOUND FABRIC TO MAKE HAIRBOWS!

Look at these really cute hair bows from Ruffles and Stuff  Click below to see the tutorial on how to
make these. I will be!

Side note: I had to laugh at the dirty dish towel to the left. I thought about retaking the picture but hey I'm a MOM and you are going to see a dirty dish towel once in a while. I am human!

BUTTONS GALORE!!!!!
Have you ever priced buttons? For this many it would have cost a bundle.

Look at this darling tutorial that shows you how to make a DIY button bracelet. I want to try these and also use these buttons for the hair bows.

  BAG OF FELT
Multiple colors that can be used for so many things! Below is just one cute example.
DIY GARLAND HEART FELT
(I can't wait to do this one) So cute!
Looks pretty self explanatory. Buy some string, cut out hearts and glue on.I think I can handle that!

BEAUTIFUL FABRIC
Still deciding what I am going to do with this. I really need some new pillows and these are the colors in my front room. This is some really gorgeous material.

Could be something as simple as this and I need simple simple simple. I am kind of special when it comes to sewing. My New Years resolution is the learn how to sew. Think of all the things you could do if you knew how?

So there you have it! You now can create some really great items for pennies on the dollar!

DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF CHEAP!!
