Tip - Easiest way to cook Corn on the Cob

The Easiest Way to Cook Corn on The Cob

Throw it in the oven at 350° for 25-30 minutes. That’s it. Leave the husk on, it will trap in the moisture, leaving you with juicy, tender corn. The husk and silk will peel away easily once it’s cooked.

Add some butter, salt and pepper. YUM!

  2. You don't need to moisten the husks first, just put them right on the rack! So easy!

  3. What a great, simple idea! Will have to try that one. I wrap my de-husked corn in plastic wrap and toss in the micro for a few minutes per ear. Steams up nicely.

    1. I do this method, too. I'm sure it isn't the healthiest way but quick and easy and so yummy. I will have to try the oven method soon.

Amy@Spinthewheel That's how I cook my corn also, I do run the corn cob under the faucet b4 wrapping in plastic wrap...works great for me as it's just me...it's fresh cooked without leftover corn (just isn't as good reheated as fresh cooked.) The oven method sounds good too especially not having to clean b4 cooking. Will try it tomorrow!

    3. Just put corn with husk and silk intact in the microwave. (Remove some of husk put make sure silk is covered with husk.) Microwave on high 3 minutes for 1 ear...4 minutes for 2 ears. Best tasting corn ever and so easy! There is enough moister from the silk to cook the corn and add flavor. (Plastic wrap NOT a good idea!)

  5. My husband voiced concern that they would catch on fire, so I just wrapped mine with foil. They are in the oven now!

  6. have been eating corn from the oven for more years than i can remember... but i just put the corn straight in the oven no husk no silk... i like mine a little brown so its just yum.. my parents taught me this way.. bit like cooking over hot coals in bali... always have to get some in bali..

  7. I have always shucked the corn, butter them with salt and pepper and wrap them tight in waxed paper and throw them into the microwave for about 9 minutes...perfect every time

  8. I did this tonight!! Threw 4 ears of corn straight from the grocery store on a cookie sheet and 30 minutes later we had perfectly cooked corn. The silks slid right off, so easy! Thank you!

  9. Sometimes you find a worm when shucking the corn so I worry I might bake a worm? Any thoughts?

  10. Hmm. sounds good! Try polishing it off with a mixture of warm olive oil, green onions and salt, it's delicious!

  11. I cooked this tonight and was so bummed. I cooked it exactly as in the directions and it was only about half way cooked. I ended up having to cook it for an extra 30 minutes (1 hour total) for it to be tender enough to bite into :(
