Chicken Pot Pie with Cream Cheese
and Chive Biscuits
What a wonderful weekend we had. My daughter decided to come and visit and we got to spend some time with her and two of our Grandchildren. The weather was perfect Fall weather and we went to the park where the trees and leaves were beautiful. The kids had a blast playing in the leaves. Here are a few pictures....

This recipe is a little more involved than I usually post but the reviews are outstanding and you can see why when you see the ingredients and the pictures. Don't be afraid, you can do this! OH THOSE BISCUITS! YUM!
The little bit of extra work will be so worth it, I promise. It is creamy and the biscuits are amazing. Read the comments you will see how much those who made it loved it.

Talk about timing - my poor little (also Wal-Mart) hand mixer just DIED :( and I LOVE Kitchenaide mixers and have always dreamed of owning one (oh the memories of watching my grandmother whip up something delicious - as everything she made was always delicious of course - using her's) but I've never quite been green$ enough to swing it. Oh yeah, my favorite color...hmmm...it is so hard to decide - my kitchen is mostly white - with green walls and purple and gray/silver accents so WHITE it is! P.S. we just moved in so it's the perfect housewarming present :)

ReplyDeleteI too had one of those "inexpensive" mixer for the last 32 years (a wedding gift in 1980-yikes!)It had a little black knob on the fast or even faster speed, that one day fell off when I was whipping mashed potatoes. My daughter was in the midst of enjoying her meal, when, low and behold she spit out the little black knob. It has since become a joke in our family who can find it in their meal-I know kinda gross. So...yeah, I really need to win the Yellow one...

ReplyDeleteI love the blue one. When I moved out to live with my Fiancee, my mom gave me her old beat up hamilton beach mixer that she got when my parents were married in 1982. I loved that thing, but it did eventually break. They dont make them like they used to!

The red would match my kitchen better but the yellow would match the KitchenAid mixer that my Mom got for Christmas last year. So many pretty colors...so hard to decide! :)

ReplyDeleteI LOVE the lime green one! I'm a college student and I was fortunate enough to get me moms stand mixer! (WHICH WAS AWESOME!) Unfortunately it was on its last legs and the motor over heated and it died a sad depressing death while I was making cookies.....So this would be great!
