The Benefits of Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon Essential Oil is one of my very favorite oils. Everyone should have this oil because there are so many great things you can do with it and it is pure with no chemicals like the products that can be bought in the store. I drink 2 drops in my bottled water. Gives it a nice fresh taste and great for the body.

The Benefits of LEMON

Laundry - Lemon essential oil takes out ALL odor when you forget and leave your load of laundry in the washer way too long! Put a drop or two in your regular load for great smelling laundry.

Remove Sap - Lemon oil is excellent for removing pine gum and tree sap.

Grease - Hands are black and greasy. Lemon mixed with soap.  Lemon oil is a great De-greaser!

Disinfect. You can add lemon oil to a spray bottle of water and use to clean counter tops and other surfaces. For some extra chemical-free firepower, a little vinegar is a traditional favorite.

Hard Water Buildup.  A small amount of lemon goes a long way in removing hard water build up.

Deactivate the Sticky. Lemon oil can help you with gum in hair. Got kids with obsessive addictions to stickers or temporary tattoos? Works for those too.

Furniture Polish. Add a few drops of lemon oil to olive oil for a non-toxic furniture polish. Lemon oil leaves a beautiful shine, prevents fine wood finishes from drying out, and replaces lost moisture in antique woods as it penetrates worn finishes.

Odors - Diffuse or spray lemon oil and neutralize odors at their source!

Scuff Marks - Lemon oil lifts scuff marks in remarkable ways!

Spot-Free Dishes. Add a few drops of lemon oil to your dishwasher soap container each load. 

Energy Boost. For a quick, refreshing energy boost, add couple drops each of lemon essential oil in your glass of water and drink up. Add a lemony taste to your bottled water.

Preserve Fruit. Use lemon oil in a spray to keep your cut fruit fresh until serving.

Scratchy Throat. Add a couple of drops of lemon essential oil to warm water & honey to slow a nasty cough. Lemon oil fights bacteria, as well as viruses.

Better Mood - Diffuse with Lavender for a better mood. Add some into your hands and inhale. 

Cold Sore – Put on a cold sore at first symptoms. This will help remove the heat.
