Evening Post - Quick Frozen Chocolate Banana Pops

picture and recipe from Chiquita Banana

Quick Frozen Chocolate Banana's

I found these over at Chiquita Bananas. It immediately took me back to the days growing up at Disneyland in California. To this day I always get a frozen chocolate covered banana with nuts. I love them! I am super excited to make these myself so I don't have to wait until every couple of years to have them.

Very Very Easy, Super fun to make and the end result is so yummy!

Ingredients:

1   whole Chiquita Banana
1/2   cup Chocolate Chips
1/4   cup Crisp rice cereal or crushed nuts (optional)
2   whole Ice Pop Sticks
1   sheet Plastic Wrap
1   sheet Wax Paper

Instructions:

Quick Chiquita Chocolate Banana Pop Recipe
Peel the banana, cut it in half width-wise and insert the sticks part way into each banana half. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for about an hour. Put the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and melt them on half power, checking every 10 seconds so they don't burn. If you don't want to use the microwave use put a pan over a pan of boiling water and it will heat it up that way (see my Buckeyes recipe for example). Dip the bananas in the melted chocolate till they're coated. Dip in rice cereal or crushed nuts, if you like. Place on wax paper and put in the freezer to set for at least one hour.

Can't get much easier than that!
What a delicious treat for the summer. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for stopping by!
